Homeopathy for diphtheria

Cantharis. Violent burning and sore feeling in throat. Constriction in larynx impairs swallowing water (Belladonna). All symptoms are worse from water. The sight of water causes spasms of the bladder.

Muriatic acidum. Scarlet fever and diphtheria. Acid discharge from the nose irritates the upper lip. Yellow-gray films on tonsils and posterior pharyngeal wall. Bad breath. The edematous tongue lies on the tongue and causes vomiting and suffocation. Severe loss of strength. The mouth is covered with ulcers with a black base. Involuntary bowel movements and urination.

Selenium. The patient wheezes when he sings.

Arsenicum album. Throat swollen inside and out. Films of dark color with a very strong smell. The patient is restless after midnight. Urine scanty. Constipation or offensive watery diarrhea.

Natrum arsenicosum. The throat is dark purple. Tonsils very swollen. Severe loss of strength.

Apis mellifica. The inflammation is more on the right tonsil. Bright red throat. Red tongue. Very high fever. Dry and hot skin. Rapid pulse. Restless patient. Severe loss of strength. The throat has a lacquered appearance. The tonsils are covered with a brilliant red lacquer. The film is formed on the right tonsil. The tongue is swollen.

Mercurius cyanatus. Diphtheria with great prostration. Films of white color cover the tonsils (Kali bichromicum). The films darken and become gangrenous. Breath is offensive. There is no appetite. Brown or black coating on the tongue. Nosebleed.

Acidum nitricum. Coryza in scarlet fever and diphtheria. Watery, foul-smelling discharge ulcerates the skin to which it comes into contact. White coating in nose and throat. Sensation as if a fish-bone, a splinter, or a piece of glass were pricked in the throat (Arum triphyllum, Acid. muriaticum).

Lycopodium. The diphtheria plaque passes from the right side of the throat to the left. Cramping in the throat, with constant desire to swallow. Worse from drinking cold drinks and after 4 p.m. Sour or putrid taste on waking. Strong hunger, but a small amount of food leads to satiety. Pain in stomach immediately after eating.

Kali hypermang. Films in the throat have a terribly fetid odor. Throat swollen.

Belladonna. Diphtheria. Rush of blood to the head until a film forms.

Lachesis. The film is formed first on the left tonsil, and goes to the right. Worse from empty swallowing. Better from swallowing solid food. Sensation of a lump on the left side of the throat. When swallowing, the lump falls down, and then comes back again.

Capsicum. Diphtheria with necrosis in the throat. Bubbles on the palate and garlic breath. Throat convulsively compressed. Frequent bloody diarrhea, with violent tenesmus and burning in the rectum.

Amygdala persica. Dark red throat. Sharp pains make swallowing difficult. The patient cries out in pain. Diphtheria.

Baptisia. Diphtheria. The mucous membrane of the mouth is dark, putrid, with a tendency to necrosis. The patient can only swallow liquids.

Ailanthus. Stupor in typhoid, scarlet fever, and diphtheria. An irritating, watery discharge from the nose causes abrasions of the upper lip. If there is any rash, it is bluish-purple in color, indicating a poisoned condition of the blood.

Acidum carbolicum. Diphtheria of the pharynx with dark films. Apoplexy. Thirst. Hydrocephalus. Septic fever with prostration. Dizziness. Anxiety. The pupils are dilated.

Vision is blurred. Aphthae in the mouth, with salivation and intense burning in the mouth. Rave. Bad breath. Loss of appetite. Sticky taste in the mouth. Noise in ears. Better from motion.

Ammonium causticum. Diphtheria with burning nasal discharge. Severe loss of strength.

Rhus tox. Dark film. Bloody saliva flows from the mouth. Inflammation of the lymph glands in the neck, with dark skin over them.

Phytolacca decandra. Chills and pain in the back. Weakness and fainting. The throat is dark red or purple. Violent burning in throat. Worse from hot drinks.

Amygdala amara. Cutting pains in swollen tonsils. Throat is dark red. Severe loss of strength.

Naja tripudians. Blue skin. Opens her mouth wide to take a deep breath.

Apis. Diphtheria. Throat varnished, red and swollen. Breathing is very difficult due to the narrowing of the entrance to the larynx. Red rash on the surface of the body.

Arsenicum. Difficult cases of diphtheria. Throat very swollen inside and out. Films of dark color. Bad breath. Fluid and corrosive discharges come out of the nose. The patient is restless after midnight. Little urine. Offensive watery diarrhea.

Arum triphyllum. Diphtheria. Tonsils very swollen. Dry paroxysmal cough, tears throat. Bleeding cracks in the skin from acrid saliva. The scabs prevent the mouth from opening. Dark rash. Urine copious. The child tosses about the bed in an unconscious state. Finger picking in the nose. Anuria. The child buries his head in the pillow.

Natrum arsenicosum. Dark crimson color of the throat and great swelling. Prostration. No severe pain. The tongue hangs like a water bag.

Kali permanganic. Swelling of throat inside and out. Terrible stench from the mouth!

With malignant membranous diphtheria – Merc-cy. Swelling of throat – Apis. Airway affections and all croupous symptoms worse – Iod.

Strong oppression (prostration), general symptoms predominate compared with local lesions; the defeat begins on the left side and goes to the right – Lach.

Prostration, extreme – Ars. Very high fever, pains in back and limbs, but no prostration – Phyt. Great swelling of glands externall -, Merc-bi. Weakness – Psor. Paralysis – Gels. Deafness – Mur-ac.
