Joint pain
Rhus tox. Rheumatic pains come on at rest. The pains are worse at rest and in wet, rainy weather. Worse after midnight and before a storm. Better from motion.
The patient is constantly moving to get relief. Cannot lie in one position. pain, stiffness, feeling of numbness; worse at rest; chilliness from dampness.
The first movement is extremely painful. With continued movement, the patient feels much better. Rheumatism from dampness. Ailments in people who are very hot and perspire. Relief from movement. The pains are relieved by motion. Worse after midnight.
Worse from stretching and from stretching the arms up. Worse from getting wet in the rain in the heat. Limbs ache in wet weather. Depression and despair. The patient is full of anxiety and worries. He thinks he will die or go insane. Crying without knowing why.
Bryonia. Pale swollen joints. The joints are very swollen, reddened, sensitive to touch and very painful when moving. The condition is relieved by warmth. Every part of the body is painful when pressed. Joint rheumatism.
Bile, dark-haired, swarthy skin, shooting and tearing pains, worse motion and dry cold. The muscles are painful to touch and swollen. The pains are aggravated by the slightest movement. Synovitis. The joints are pale red and swollen. The pains are sharp, stitching, worse from motion.
Synovitis of rheumatic or traumatic origin. Pain and swelling change very slowly. The joints are very hot, dark or pale red in color. The tongue is dry and white in the middle of the back. Constipation. Motion, cold, mental excitement, sitting and noises greatly aggravate the pains. Worse at night.
Severe pain in the joints, the slightest movement is unbearable. Better during rest, in a warm bed, and after perspiration. The pain is aggravated by touch and the slightest movement. Red, swollen and stiff joints. Stitching pains in the joints from the slightest movement.
Ledum. Swollen and painful joints. Worse in warm bed. First, the joints of the foot become inflamed, then the joints of the hands. Painful hard knots and lumps. Periostitis of the phalanges is painful with pressure. The soles are sensitive and painful.
The ankles are swollen. Inflammation of the big toe. Painful hard knots form in the hands. The effusion is minor. Tight knots. Strong chilliness. Acute swelling of the hip joint. The patient can hardly walk.
Pale tumors. Swollen hot joints do not turn red. Pain at night from warmth of bed. The patient is thrown off the blanket from the diseased joints. The rheumatism rises up from the foot.
Silicea. Arthritis of the hip and knee joints, with discharge of offensive pus from fistulas. Rheumatism of the feet, ankles and soles. Lack of heat. Sweat and diaper rash of legs.
Fetid sweat in armpits (Petroleum). The glands swell and suppurate. Great sensitivity to touch (Lachesis). Curvature of the bones and spine.
