Carduus marianus. An important remedy when the liver disease is secondary to heart disease. Assigned to 5 drops of tincture or 1 dilution.
Myrika cerif. Together with the purely hepatic symptoms of pain and fullness in the region of the liver, the urine is the color of beer, with yellow foam and a reddish-brown sediment; headache with feeling of heaviness and fullness in the morning. If, in addition, there is chronic catarrh of the nose and throat, with viscous and sticky discharges, Myrika will be the most indicated of all remedies. She has more pain and muscle soreness. Doses: five drops from the tincture to the 6th dilution.
Himanthus virg. This remedy seems to work best in catarrhal cholecystitis, in hypertrophy of the liver, and in jaundice in children. Tincture and low dilutions are used.
Leptandra. Pain in the liver, mainly in the gallbladder, radiating to the spine; tongue strongly coated, with dark stripes, stools dark, tar-colored, mixed with bile and undigested food. Urine is dark. Nausea and vomiting. Used from tincture to 3 dilutions.
Ricinus. J. Gallawarden often used this remedy for the following indications: jaundice after hepatic colic and indigestion due to cholelithiasis, which are characterized by heaviness, bloating and belching a few hours after eating, especially after fatty, starchy food; hepatic colic, especially if the patient has severe nausea, greenish loose stools, dizziness, languor and a feeling of pressure in the stomach.
