Cold
Aconitum is most often used in winter. Fear and anxiety. The symptoms of a cold come on suddenly, after contact with a dry, cold wind. From this, it can be understood that heat and dryness of the left side of the body, with acute sensitivity to cold wind or drafts, is successfully treated with aconite. It is a remedy for a painful, dry and hacking cough, with a feeling of tension and pressure on the left side of the chest.
Gelsemium. Influenza, with acrid nasal discharge. Feeling of crawling on the back. Chatting teeth. Abrasions and pain in the nostrils and on the wings of the nose. Frequent sneezing and sore throat. Tonsils red and swollen. Swallowing is difficult. Dry, irritating cough with little expectoration. General loss of strength.
Facial neuralgia. The shiver rises up from the legs. The patient cannot bear noise and light. Sweat relieves all pains. Weakness, trembling in the legs and fatigue all over the body. Worse after empty swallowing (Sulphur. Calcarea ostrearum). Dry cough with choking. Red face and tears from coughing. Nasal discharge irritates the skin. Scabs and fissures around nostrils. Herpetic rash.
Carbo animalis. A choking cough shakes the brain. Coldness in chest (Bromium). Green, purulent and offensive mucus is expectorated from the right lung. Emptiness in pit of stomach not relieved by food (Sepia).
Coldness in the stomach is relieved by pressing the abdomen with the hand or by rubbing it. Haemorrhoids. An odorless fluid oozes from the rectum. The patient closes his eyes and there is a feeling as if he was being suffocated.

Arsenicum album. Coryza in obese, thick-cheeked children.
Kalium bichromicum. Yellowish or green coryza. Dryness in the nose. Dark green lumps of mucus are expectorated from the throat.
Senecio. Cough with bloody sputum.
Arum triphyllum. Irritant runny nose. The corners of the mouth are sore and cracked. Saliva is caustic. Children are restless.
Sulphur. Nose crusts. The nose bleeds easily. The wings of the nose are red and scaly. Nose stuffed up in the room, but breathes freely in the open. Laryngitis with hoarseness. The voice becomes very low. Sometimes complete loss of voice in the morning.
Mucopurulent sputum in bronchitis. Suffocation with palpitations. The patient opens the windows. The cough is aggravated by lying in a horizontal position. Early stages of tuberculosis.
Nux vomica. Conjunctivitis. Gluing of eyelids and photophobia in the morning. Spasms of the eyelids (Agaricus). The eyes are slightly watery and scratchy sensation in the throat. Worse in a warm room and better in the open air.
Mercurius. Coryza with pain in nose and throat. Worse in damp weather.
Pulsatilla. Coryza with discharge of green color and delicate consistency. Coryza with thick green discharge. Inflammation of the testicles and prostate.
Lycopodium. Fan-shaped movements of the wings of the nose in respiratory diseases in young people and children. Cough with purulent sputum. Blush on cheeks. The cough is wet, but sputum is difficult to separate.
The expectoration is thick, yellow or greenish. Bronchitis with profuse mucopurulent secretion. Significant shortening of breathing during sleep with pulmonary lesions. Advanced pneumonia with purulent sputum.

Headache, sore throat, constant tickling cough, worse lying down, delirium; neuralgia, especially in right side of head and face, ear inflammation, Bell.
Suppurations – Merc. Cough worse on slightest movement, pain in head on coughing; soreness in the limbs or in the body, worse from motion; dirty tongue, thirst – Bry.
Cough with streaks of blood in sputum that is difficult to pass, pain worse on right side, Sang.
An agonizing cough, worse at night; thirst, yearning, longing, fear of death – Ars. Fever, restlessness, fear of death; pain in region of heart, with pallor and fainting, Acon.
Prostration (collapse) – Camph. Sharp pain in heart, with palpitation and weakness, inability to lie on left side, Spig.
Pleuritic pains, aggravated by coughing, heat in head, night sweats, early morning diarrhoea, Sulph.
Morning diarrhoea, liver enlargement, Podo. Profuse stools, great pain, perspiration and cold sweat on forehead, Verat.
Sciatic neuralgia, Rhus, Ars-s-r. Weakness after influenza, Psor, Chin.
