Homeopathy for ophthalmia

Euphrasia. Marked photophobia. Better outdoors and in the dark. Ophthalmia. Thick and purulent irritating discharge causes abrasions. Tears corrode the eyelids. The eyelids swell and ulcerate at the edges. Acid lachrymation with constant blinking. Ulceration of the cornea.

Coryza with copious discharge of water or mucopurulent substance. Inflammation of the conjunctiva, cornea, lacrimal glands and sac. Paralysis of the eye muscles from cold. Worse in bed, in warm air, in the light, and in the evening. Wet cough and loud bronchial rales.

Mercurius. Severe photophobia and lacrimation. Chronic conjunctivitis. The patient is worse at night, from the warmth and brilliance of the fire. Eyelids swollen with everted cartilage. Eyelids red, sensitive to heat, cold or touch.

Ophthalmia of newborns with acrid discharge. Corneal ulcers. Mucopurulent discharge from the eyes at night. Black spots, flies and fog before the eyes. Chronic otitis. Bloody discharge from the right ear. Roaring, ringing and noise in the ears, with deafness.

Apis. Eyelids swollen, red and swollen. Eyelid bonding. Shooting pains through the eyes are relieved by cold water. Worse at night. Weakening of vision. Burning and stitching pain in the eyes. Cutting in the eyes, with lachrymation and itching in the lids. The eyes are extremely sensitive to light.

Pain in the eyes at night. Inflammation of the iris of the eye. The pains pass through the eye to the back of the head. Worse at night. Hot tears flow profusely on opening the eyes. Edema eyelids. Hot, profuse lachrymation.

Erysipelas. Restlessness of the whole body. The patient rolls over from one side of the body to the other. Tendency to form pus. The eyelids are blue-red, watery and translucent. The pains are worse at night. The brain seems to dangle freely and beat against the walls of the skull. The pain in the back of the head disappears when the head is thrown back.

Better from wrapping the head warmly, from dry heat, and from exercise. Weeping, suppurating eruptions on the head, with thick crusts, eating away at the hair. Itching at night. Eyelids swollen. Acute conjunctivitis. Paralysis of the muscles of the eyeball from cold, damp weather. Corneal ulcers. Conjunctivitis from moisture.

Alumina. Chronic blepharitis. Dry eyes (Berberis, Natrum carbonicum and Natrum sulphuricum). Dry eyes when reading (Crocus, Argentum nitricum). Weakness of eyelids (Nux moschata, Sepia, Rhus).

Dropping of the upper eyelid. Double vision. Strabismus (strabismus). The patient cannot walk with his eyes closed. Goosebumps in the legs. Numb heels when walking. The face is covered with cobwebs. Dryness of mucous membranes. Thick, yellow mucus in nose.

Mercurius vivus. Inflammation of the eyes. The patient cannot bear the brilliance and heat of the fire. He avoids warm rooms. Worse at night. Acrid, mucopurulent discharge from the eyes. Pimples on cheeks. Superficial ulcers of the cornea.

Syphilinum. Photophobia. Pains go from one eye to another. Inflammation of the cornea. Pain from one temporal fossa to another. The pains are worse at night. Closed eyes in the morning. Hair loss. Purulent discharge from the eyes. Fetid, weeping eczema of the scalp. Keratitis and iritis. Ophthalmia in newborns.

Swelling of the eyelids. Swelling of the upper eyelids. Recurrent pustules. Burning and lachrymation. Paralysis of the muscles of the eyelids. Conjunctivitis with severe pain. Strabismus. Drooping of the upper eyelids. Sensation of sand in the eyes. Lachrymation. Pain at 3 am. Papular and vesicular eruption in the inner corner of the left eye.

Mercurius solubilis. Iritis with accumulation of pus in the anterior chamber of the eye.

Mercurius bijodatus. Inflammation of the eyes. Marked swelling of the glands.

Mercurius protojodatus. Corneal ulcers. Thick yellow coating on base of tongue.

Mercurius dulcis. Calomel. Pale face and swollen cervical glands in children. Puffiness and pallor.

Mercurius corrosivus. Burning pains with photophobia and acrid lachrymation. Tearing pains in the bones around the eyes. Ulcers and perforation of the cornea. Hypopion. Inflammation of the iris.

Cinnabaris. Shooting pain from one corner of the eye to the other.

Acidum picricum. Pain in the eyes, with sensation of heat in the lumbar region. Worse from motion. The pupils are dilated. Sparks before eyes, with burning. Thick pus in the corners of the eyes. Worse from artificial light.

Numbness in legs with trembling. Itching in the lips, on the head. Vertigo when bending over or going upstairs. Headaches from activities or movement of the eyes. Better from rest, in open air, or from tying the head tightly.

Sulphur. Profuse lachrymation. Acute ophthalmia. The edges of the eyelids are red. Pustular inflammation of the cornea and conjunctiva. Pain as if needles were stuck in the eyes. Gluing of eyelids in the morning. Itching compels the patient to rub his eyes.

The symptoms are worse after getting the eyes wet and in the open air. Ulcers and abscesses of the cornea. Violent itching in the evening, as if the eyes were full of sand. Dark spots before the eyes. Veil before the eyes. It seems that the light from the lamp is surrounded by a halo.

Graphites. Letters double and merge. An eczematous weeping eruption around the eyes, on the cheeks, on the ears and behind them. Eczema on the bends of the joints. The edges of the eyelids are pale.

Calcarea ostrearum. Clouding of the cornea. Sweat on the head. Cold and damp feet. Thickening of the eyelids. Asa foetida. Inflammation of the iris (iritis), with throbbing pains in the bones around the eyes (Aurum). Better from pressing the eye.

Phellandrium aquaticum. Headache with burning in the eyes and lachrymation. Sharp pains in the breasts.

Stramonium. Light is blinding. The child calls for mom and dad, although they are nearby and try to comfort him. Terrible monsters rise from the ground. Aversion to water, to the point of rabies. Looking at a light, a mirror, or water causes convulsions. Rabies. Pupil dilation. Double vision, Dark blue or red color illusions.

Nux vomica. Photophobia in the morning. Intolerance of light in the morning. Retinal atrophy. Eye movement is accompanied by severe pain and lacrimation. Epistaxis is preceded by a headache with reddening of the cheeks. It happens at night while sleeping. Itching and ringing along the ears causes frequent desire to swallow. Ulcers form on the lips, with stitching pains.

After eating, the patient suffers from coughing. Asthma after gastric disturbances, with pressure in the stomach after a heavy meal. The abdomen is distended with gases. Worse from cold air and from climbing stairs. Hemoptysis after drinking or after anger. Right-sided renal colic. Bruising under the conjunctiva after drinking or nightly activities. Corneal ulcers with morning photophobia.

Atrophy of the optic nerve. Alcoholic amblyopia. Intolerance of daylight in the morning, with blurred vision. The anterior half of the tongue is clean, but the posterior half is thickly coated. Sour taste in the mouth in the morning.

Mouth full of fetid ulcers. Bloody saliva. Toothache from cold and mental exertion. The tongue is covered with a yellow coating at the base. Vomiting of sour mucus in the morning. Satiety from a small amount of food. Too much mental stress with too little physical.

Flatulence and heartburn. Hemoptysis from anger. Better from warm air, in the evening, while at rest, lying down and in damp, warm weather. Frequent hiccups. Thirst for beer is replaced by nausea. Great flatulence of the abdomen after eating. Sudden palpitations when lying down after dinner.

Sepia. Photophobia and swelling of the eyelids in the morning in young women. Cataract. Paralysis of the upper eyelid. Yellow complexion on the bridge of the nose, in the form of a saddle. Aversion to fatty foods. Bad breath. Profuse salivation. Nausea at the thought of food. Belching of rotten eggs or dung. Aversion to meat. Desire for vinegar.

Ignatia. Great photophobia and feeling of sand in the eyes. Blinking of the eyelids and spasms of the muscles of the face (Agaricus). Pain around the eyes. Lump in throat (globus hystericus). Toothache between meals. Pain during swallowing. A lump is felt between acts of swallowing. The tonsils are edematous with white flat spots.

Kalium carb. Lachrymation and photophobia. Irritable and irascible (Nux vomica). Stitching in temples on bending over. Swelling of the upper eyelids in the morning. Gluing of eyelids in the morning. Nose swollen and red. Painful burning vesicles on the tongue. The stomach seems to be full of water. Intense thirst. Ineffective urge to stool.

Mezereum. Lachrymation with cutting in the eyes. Eczema of eyelids, face and head, with purulent thick scabs. Pustular conjunctivitis. Twitching of the upper eyelid on the right. Right nostril swollen and painful. Burning and salivation all over the mouth, as from pepper. The beer seems bitter and induces vomiting.

Worse from wine. Loud rumbling in abdomen from flatulence. Defecation hard balls with strong attempts. Frequent emission of offensive flatus before stool. Putrid stools from undigested food. Dysentery.

Artemisia vulgaris. Pain in the eyes, with blurred vision, relieved by rubbing the eyes. Colored light produces dizziness. When the patient looks out the window with colored glass, then he begins to feel dizzy.

Cina. When reading, the eyes begin to hurt, the letters become blurry. Cloud obscures vision. Better from rubbing the eyes (Artemisia vulgaris). Items appear yellow.

Hepar sulphur. Great photophobia with profuse lachrymation. Eczema of the eyelids, with thick scabs and nocturnal gluing of the eyelids. Deafness with whistling in the ears and discharge of acrid pus. Yellow skin color. Teeth hurt in warm weather. The gums bleed easily. Putrid, metallic taste, with offensive breath.

Sensation in the throat of a fishbone when swallowing. Pulsation in and around the eyes. Purulent styes on eyelids. The patient cannot bear the slightest pressure on the eye, because of their extreme sensitivity.

Desire to unfasten clothes from stomach after eating. Violent salivation from the mouth, like a sudden downpour. Strong desire for vinegar. Heartburn in the esophagus. Passionately desires sour or spicy. Eructations with rotten eggs, with burning in throat. Vomiting of bile in the morning.
